OFweek optical network: Recently, Thomson Reuters released the 2015 science and Technology Journal Citation Report (JCR2014). Light: Science and application, hereinafter referred to as Light, has obtained second impact factors since its inception, 14.603, ranking second in the 86 optical journals indexed by JCR. Among the 8618 international journals included in SCI, it ranks 95 and ranks among the top 100 in the world. 14.603 of the impact factors are also the highest impact factor of China's sponsored journals.

Light is sponsored by Chinese Academy of Sciences Changchun optical precision machinery and physics research, and Nature Publishing Group (NaturePublishingGroup, NPG) to obtain the first optical journals China open cooperative publishing, online edition on March 29, 2012 on the line, the print edition began publication in 2013.
